Experience the Yale Legacy
Conference attendees will enjoy a unique opportunity to experience Yale’s traditional residential college living during the conference at low cost in Timothy Dwight College and Swing Space Residence Hall. For those who do not wish to feel like they are going back to college, local hotels within walking distance to the conference sites are available at modest costs.
Spaces at the Residential Colleges and Omni Hotel will be limited. We strongly encourage attendees to book as soon as registration opens in early February, 2015.
Two residential colleges will be made available to conference attendees, Timothy Dwight College and Swing Space Residence Hall. Timothy Dwight College opened in 1935 with a design meant to reference early 19th century New England town halls. The college’s brick work with white trim, green shutters, and hand-hewn dining hall beams are all of Federal inspiration. It boasts a tremendous array of facilities, including a library, dining hall, Town Hall, and courtyard (complete with Ginkgo Tree). Swing Space Residence Hall was built to serve as an annex for students during building renovations. Located right next to Yale’s Payne Whitney Gymnasium, it is perfect for small groups of guests to convene, but also to maintain personal privacy. Each two-bedroom suite is complete with a kitchenette, a bath, and a fully furnished living room. Registration for both venues will open in early February, 2015.
Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale
Blocks of rooms in Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale will be available for conference attendees at special rate ($199.00 per night). The Omni Hotel is located in the heart of New Haven and a short walk from the conference venue (0.5 mile, 10 min walk). Rooms overlook beautiful Yale architecture and the hotel also has state-of-the-art fitness equipment available to all guests.
Registration for Omni hotel will open in early February, 2015.
