A call for participation from workshop organizers…

GRAND CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING AND SCIENCE IN THE 21st CENTURY

Saturday, June 13, 2015 (All Day - details on location and exact time TBD)

The GOAL is to assemble a document that will help inform the NRC Committee that Bill, through NSF, will be putting together to address the Grand challenges in the 21st Century.

We are soliciting workshop participants.  The cost of admittance is a one page “Grand Challenge…” If you want to send in two – send two (or more).  The purpose of the one-pager is to allow us to organize the topics for discussion.  Please send the one pager to Bill:  wjcooper@nsf.gov.

Deadline for submissions is May 1- thank you!

The format should include a title and name, an overview of the idea, any information that will help to discuss your idea and maybe a reference or two if appropriate.  These submissions will be organized into different categories for discussion, leaving room for other topics or categories based on our group and break-out discussions.

I’m sure there will be some confusion so the sooner you get your ideas to us the better.  You are free to email either one of us, Bruce Logan (bel3@engr.psu.edu) or Bill Cooper (wjcooper@nsf.gov) for any questions related to this call.

This is a chance to be involved in shaping our community in the 21st Century – we hope many of you will participate.

Co-Organizers: Bruce Logan and Bill Cooper
